*North Pole ice cap melting faster than ever
WASHINGTON (AFP) - - The Arctic ice cap keeps melting under the effects of global warming and in August saw its second largest summer shrinkage since satellite observations began 30 years ago, US scientists said.
Measurements on August 26 showed an ice cap of 5.26 million square kilometers (2.03 million square miles), just below the 5.32 million square kilometers (2.05 million square miles) observed on 21 September 2005, making it the second biggest summer Arctic ice-cap melt in history, said the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC).
Since the start of August, the Boulder, Colorado-based center said, the Arctic polar cap shrank by 2.06 million square kilometers (0.8 million square miles).
The melting is so fast and extensive it could shrink the ice cap to below the 4.25 million square kilometers (1.64 million square miles) reached in the summer of 2007, the smallest it has ever been observed by satellites, the center said.
Since the end of the Arctic summer and the start of the freezing autumn is several weeks away, it said, the ice cap could dwindle even more than it did in 2007.
At the end of northern hemisphere summer 2007, the Arctic ice cap was 40 percent smaller than the average 7.23 million square kilometers (2.8 million square miles) observed in 1979-2000, the NSIDC said.
The North Pole melting season begins in mid-June. The ice cap shrinks to its smallest area by mid-September and grows the most in winter by mid-March.
"The bottom line, however, is that the strong negative trend in summertime ice extent characterizing the past decade continues," the Center said in a report.
The North Pole itself could even become free of ice by September for the first time in modern history, setting a new milestone in the effects of global warming on the Arctic ice shelf, NSIDC glaciologist Mark Serreze told AFP in late June.
"We could have no ice at the North Pole at the end of this summer. And the reason here is that the North Pole area right now is covered with very thin ice, and this ice we call 'first-year ice,' the ice that tends to melt out in the summer," he explained.
Serrreze said the possibility the ice cap could vanish stood at 50 percent.
If it does happen in September, he added, "it's possible that ships could sail from Alaska right to the North Pole".
The Arctic has been free of ice in the geologic history of the Earth, but never in modern history, Serreze said.
"Clearly, if you look over what we have seen in the past three years and where we were headed, we are in ... this long-term decline and we may have no ice at all in the Arctic Ocean in summer by 2030 or so," he added.
Not long ago, he said, the summer disappearance of the Arctic ice was predicted to happen between 2050 and 2100.
The NSIDC said the receding North Pole ice sheet was chiefly caused by the melting of ice in the Chukchi Sea, off the Alaskan coast, and the East Siberian Seas, off the coast of eastern Russia.
The Chukchi ice sheet is one of the natural habitats of the polar bear, where it hunts for seals, and its disappearance is a direct threat to the animal's survival.
The vanishing summer polar ice cap, however, also opens up the fabled Northwest Passage that winds through the northern Canadian islands and links the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
Shipping routes using the Northwest Passage would spare very long detours through the Panama Canal and around South America's Cape Horn.
An ice-free North Pole would also expose untold wealth of natural resources, including oil and natural gas, locked up beneath the Arctic Ocean waters, which Canada and Russia are already eagerly preparing to exploit.

I love this horror show a lot!!! If you love horror movie? must go watch...
I love the part where we all are so scared.. we covered our eyes but we still wanna know what happen... then we keep peaking... in the end... boom~ *Scream* xD
Movie plot
The movie comprises of four different stories of four different lives, directed by four directors. The first story tells a tale about 'Happiness' where a lonely girl finds companionship with a guy that she knows through phone text. The second story 'Tit for Tat' depicts the anecdote of a young artiste who is out to make a good-looking portfolio instead of a good movie. 'In The Middle' is more towards a parody of Hollywood movies with bits of humour and lastly, 'Last Fright' is a melodramatic story about a widow and her foe.

What a waste for today... Today, was on the bus to school.. it passes by the swimming pool... seeing the pool let me think of how long I didnt went for a swim... its actually quite long... about 1year or more... so thought of going after school.. WEEE~ swimming...
I remember i always go for swimming once or twice a week... lols..
In school today, lesson are just 9am - 11am... amazing right? hahahas.. thats not the normal time table lah.. just becoz today two of the lesson have been canceled.
On the way home, realizing the east side is raining heavily =(
Means that i cant go swimming today le... T^T

p/s: today my friend went to see fiona blog... then she say.. "thats fiona?? why so fat??" lols
They kinda know the name fiona becoz she is popular in my class... Hahahas...

Are you Emo??
Emo guys usually have shaggy hair, that covers a majority of their forehead and eyes. Much like the girls, they like to dye their hair dark colors. Especially black. When it comes to their clothing, emo boys usually sport under sized clothing.
A lot of them will wear girls pants. When it comes to their shirts, they like the vintage look. Much like the girls again, emo boys like to have facial piercings. Emo girls hair is shorter than what must girls have. They like to dye their hair black and cut their bangs uniquely.
Jewelry is a big part of their fashion. Body piercings, and facial piercings are very common among girls. Girls and boys tend to purchase all their clothing at thrift store.
However, many emo kids will make their own clothing or mod their own clothes to fit they look they are going after. Girls and boys that are emo share the same taste when it comes to fashion. Glassed which are horn rimmed are quite popular, along with bags cluttered with patches

Finally~ I have cut my hair.. Wanted to cut it for some time ago le..
My hair alwayz been bothering me ... it always touches my eye... *Ouch* Hmmm.. Will take a photo shot of myself soon... =)
I still remember that china guy who cut my hair till so thin... Luckily, this time... I ask the other lady to cut my hair.. She is good at it.. She asked me why my hair at the back(tail) is so thin??

But as my heavenly angel tell me.. SHHH~ must be good ar...

What Are Names Used For?
All of us have different names, and different things have either similar, or very different names?But what exactly is a name, and why must we give everything a name in order for us to find it meaningful or useful? These days every thing has a name from the clothes we wear right to our cellphones. We call them iphones, Sidekicks, and Blackberries. Blackberries? That sound like something that would leave a stain. Yet if it does not have a name, than to us it cannot not be considered a real thing. But it gets worst, some people name things or people in order to segregate them from society.
Some people are called homophobic, transsexual, bisexual, homosexual, metro-sexual, or heterosexual. So my question is why must someone be given a name simply because of a preference, that when you get to the bottom of it, it’s really nobodies business. I mean should I be called cow lover because I prefer beef instead of chicken? Shakespear said it best when he said “a rose would still smell as Sweet with any other name”.

After browsing through your blog and saw the earlier post that we first time met. I can say that, its so much excited to meet you the first time on 31/05/08. I remember that night before.. i cant really sleep .
After some time we dated, I did get kinda tired of you at first.. and i started to get boring... But ever since we started to get separate, I start to miss and love you so much... Seeing you close to other guys make me so angry yet Jealous.. It start to let me think all the things like,
*You wont be close to other guys, you are sticky to your stead, you wont go club and all... You wont go clubbing until i'm 18.. *
Actually i hate to go there since i cant/didnt even go club.. nowadays i go there is because you are going there... I just wish to have more time to see you..
I did hate to go club or whatever seeing my loves one close to other people, although we are already separated.
